Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi
Italian October 1813 – 27 January 1901) was an Italian opera composer. He was born near Busseto to a provincial family of moderate means, and developed a musical education with the help of a local patron. Verdi came to dominate the Italian opera scene after the era of Vincenzo Bellini, Gaetano Donizetti, and Gioachino Rossini, whose works significantly influenced him. By his 30s, he had become one of the pre-eminent opera composers in history.

朱塞佩·福圖尼諾·弗朗切斯科·威爾第(意大利語:Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi,1813年10月10日-1901年1月27日)出生於帕爾馬附近的勒朗科勒(Le Roncole),逝世於米蘭,意大利作曲家。

威爾第和理查德·華格納一起被認為是19世紀最有影響力的歌劇創作者。

威爾第從1824年開始學習音樂,他為焦阿基諾·羅西尼的歌劇《塞維利亞的理髮師》寫了序曲。然後他去米蘭,但那裏的音樂學院拒絕接受他,他並不灰心,繼續自學。
